Fred Groen

Fred is responsible for Cloudera’s business in Indonesia.  Cloudera is the first commercial Vendor of Hadoop, an open sourced technology that currently underpins some of todays most innovative and demanding Big Data projects.

Previously, Fred spent time at Amazon as an early member of the Amazon Web Services team based in Singapore where he held a number of roles including building out the Indonesian Market as well as working with the video game ecosystem. At AWS Fred worked closely with the startup and venture capital community to support some of the fastest growing startups in the region. Before moving to ASEAN Fred worked in economic research where he focused on industrial development and the consumer markets in China and South East Asia.

Fred is a graduate of Kogod School of Business at American University and spent time in graduate programs at both Peking University and Tsinghua.
